Perfect for pairing with Remoulade or Tartar Sauce, these hush puppies bring bold Louisiana flavors to your table. Great for fried seafood feasts or as a unique appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Louisiana Fish Fry Products Homestyle Hush Puppy Seasoned Cornmeal Mix
  • Vegetable or canola oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1.5 cup lump crab meat

Optional Ingredients for Serving

  • Louisiana Fish Fry Products Tartar Sauce
  • Louisiana Fish Fry Products Remoulade Sauce

Directions

  1. Heat cooking oil to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients thoroughly.
  3. Shape the mixture into balls and carefully place them in the hot oil using a spoon or spatula. Fry for about 5 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with Tartar or Remoulade Sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
