Ingredients
- 1 Package Louisiana Fish Fry Jambalaya Seasoning Mix 1.76 oz
- 3 cups water or low sodium chicken stock
- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1/2 - 1 lb cooked rotisserie chicken, shredded or chopped
- 1½ cups uncooked long-grain rice
Directions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly coat with oil. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Transfer sausage to the slow cooker.
- Add water or stock, Jambalaya Seasoning Mix, uncooked rice, and shredded or chopped rotisserie chicken to the slow cooker. Stir well to evenly distribute rice and seasoning.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1½–2 hours, stirring once or twice if possible to prevent sticking.
- Once rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, turn off heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
