Fried green tomatoes take on a Cajun twist in this Southern classic. Coated with our flavorful Seasoned Fish Fry, these crispy green tomatoes are served with a tangy dipping sauce made with Cajun Seasoning, mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Perfect as an appetizer or a side dish to elevate any meal with bold, Louisiana flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. Louisiana Fish Fry Products Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 (10 oz) bag of Louisiana Fish Fry Products Seasoned Fish Fry
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 3 large green tomatoes
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • vegetable oil
  • freshly ground salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together Cajun Seasoning, mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and honey. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Slice green tomatoes into 1/2”-thick slices and discard ends.
  3. In a bowl, beat eggs. In another bowl, pour Seasoned Fish Fry. Coat each tomato slice with the breading mix, then dip in beaten eggs. Coat again with more breading mix.
  4. Heat ¼” oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to 350°F. Cook tomato slices in batches (3 to 4 at a time) for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and tender.
  5. Remove tomatoes and place on a wire rack over a clean towel. Serve with Cajun Seasoning dipping sauce and enjoy!
