If you’re looking for a way to punch up the flavor on some of your favorite dishes, look no further than these zippy Cajun compound butter recipes. Like most compound butters, these are incredibly easy to make — the hardest part is waiting for the butter to firm up so it’s ready to use!

Smoky Cajun Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Louisiana Fish Fry Products Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 stick unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1 TBSP dried chives
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

PREPARATION

In a small bowl, combine room temperature butter and all of the seasonings. Mix until well combined. Lay a square of plastic wrap on your countertop and scoop butter onto the center of the wrap. Fold the wrap over butter and use your hand to tighten, forming butter into a log. Twist each end to tightly secure butter and refrigerate until solid, about two hours. Slice and use to top your favorite veggies or meats.

Herby Cajun Butter
